The ISO 27001 standard has a requirement for Business Continuity and it will be assessed as part of any ISO 27001 certification. With the changes to the ISO 27001 controls in Annex A and the update to the ISO 27002 control set business continuity has taken more of a front seat and the requirements have been expanded and fleshed out. Everything in the standards when going for certification is based on the premise that if it is not written down it does not exist. So having material records of actions is paramount to that certification.
